I'm Tianyu Zhang, a Senior AI Research Scientist at Autodesk Research. This blog is a place for me to write things that don't fit neatly into a paper: half-formed ideas, intuitions I want to sharpen, notes from papers I've read, and occasional personal posts.

What to expect

Professional posts will cover things like:

• Reinforcement learning and alignment
• CAD and geometry AI
• Thoughts on specific papers or research directions
• Notes from conferences

Personal posts will be more informal — cooking recipes, travel notes, random thoughts.

Use the toggle at the top of the blog to switch between the two modes.

On translation

All posts are written in either English or Chinese. I use AI to generate translations, so the other-language version might have occasional quirks — but it should be readable. Use the EN / 中文 toggle on any post to switch.
